4. What are Clipping Windows?

Clipping Windows are used for storing commonly used effects & commands. Once you've created an effect that you like, you can go to the edit menu and do a "Copy to Clipping Window".

You can create your own clipping windows.

Effects can be run directly from the clipping window by double clicking one of them or by selecting it and pressing Command Spacebar.

You can copy a clipping into your sequence by either selecting it, selecting Copy and then selecting the correct number of tracks and hitting Paste OR simply select the clipping and drag it into your sequence. It will show an outline with the number of tracks required and the length of the clipping.

Clipping windows are a great way to store effects, especially blind page wipes which can be easily customized.
